Not only is the Yreka Healing Arts Center a haven for clients, it is also an enjoyable place for our staff of trained practicioners to work. When the owner, Irene Carver, opened the Center in June, 2000, her goal was to hold a space for members of the alternative healing community to manifest their dreams and provide a place to practice their varied healing and creative arts.
Paula Johnson, massage practitioner, who has been with the Yreka Healing Arts Center since its inception says, "There is a great feeling of community and friendship here that I have never experienced before in a work place." Irene adds, "When we are not working, we often put water on for tea in the large country kitchen and just breathe in the tranquility that this environment offers. We practice Just Being. Being light, being happy and laughing. After all, laughter is the best medicine."
